Badal to unfurl flag in Roopnagar

FATEHGARH SAHIB, Jan 14: The state-level Republic Day function this year will be held at Ludhiana and Governor Lt. Gen. retd B.K.N. Chhibber will hoist the national flag there. An official spokesman said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would unfurl the national flag at Roopnagar while Vidhan Sabha Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal would hoist the flag at Fatehgarh Sahib.

Cabinet Minister Balramji Dass Tandon will unfurl the tricolour at Sangrur, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura at Amritsar, Gurdev Singh Badal at Ferozepur, Madan Mohan Mittal at Jalandhar, Capt Kanwaljit Singh at Patiala, Dr Upinderjit Kaur at Bhatinda, Nirmal Singh Kahlon at Gurdaspur, Jagir Kaur at Kapurthala, Manoranjan Kalia at Hoshiarpur, Mohan Lal at Faridkot, Raja Narinder Singh at Muktsar, Raghbir Singh at Moga, Ratan Singh at Mansa, Sarwan Singh at Nawanshahr and Tota Singh at Rampura Phull. Deputy Speaker Baldev Raj Chawla will hoist the national flag at Tarn Taran.

State ministers will unfurl the tricolour at the sub-divisional headquarters. Ajit Singh Kohar will hoist the national flag at Shahkot, Gobind Singh Kanjla at Barnala, Janmeja Singh Sekhon at Fazilka, Nusrat Ali Khan at Jagraon and Sewa Singh Sekhwan at Batala, Sikandar Singh Malooka at Phillaur, Sucha Singh Langah at Ajnala, Surjit Kumar Jyani at Abohar, Swarna Ram at Phagwara and Chiranji Lal Garg at Samrala.
