
The father of Rahul Raj, the Patna youth who was killed after attempting to hold a BEST bus hostage, said on Thursday that his son8217;s autopsy report confirmed his doubts that Rahul was 8220;murdered8221; by the Mumbai Police on October 27. Meanwhile, a complainant has lodged another case regarding the incident against Raj Thackeray and others in a Patna court.
An enraged Kundan Prasad Singh told reporters that the autopsy report confirmed that bullets were fired at his son from a distance of less than 2 feet. 8220;How can an encounter take place from such a close range? He was shot at almost point blank range,8221; said Singh.
Mumbai doctors said there were five entry wounds in Rahul8217;s chest and head. There were only four exit wounds. A senior doctor had interpreted that the bullets were fired from close range, causing gunpowder to burn the skin around the wound.
Singh, who has decided to meet the President of India shortly to demand justice for his son, said: 8220;My son was overpowered by the police and shot dead so that it would look like an encounter.8221;
He added that the 8220;fair report8221; prepared by medical experts of JJ Hospital, Mumbai, should open the eyes of the Maharashtra Government to the 8220;bestiality8221; of its policemen. 8220;I have been also seeking legal opinion to move the Supreme Court,8221; he added.
Meanwhile, complaints continue to be filed against MNS chief Raj Thackeray in Bihar. One Vinay Kumar alias Bihari Bhaiya on Thursday filed a case against Raj and nine others accusing them of murder, criminal conspiracy and tampering with evidence in a Patna chief judicial magistrate court.
