Auto shares in reverse gear

Leading utility maker Mahindra Mahindra fell 8.21 per cent to Rs 249.80, top car maker Maruti Suzuki dropped 5.24 per cent to Rs 460.05 and Tata Motors shed 3.28 per cent to Rs 128.40.

Automakers were amongst the top losers on Tuesday. Leading utility maker Mahindra 038; Mahindra fell 8.21 per cent to Rs 249.80, top car maker Maruti Suzuki dropped 5.24 per cent to Rs 460.05 and Tata Motors shed 3.28 per cent to Rs 128.40. Maruti8217;s shares fell 24 per cent, Tata Motors8217; were down 30 per cent and M038;M8217;s dropped 39 per cent.
