145;AU marksheets of terrorist not fake146;

The Allahabad University AU marksheets of Mohammad Atif Amin, the alleged mastermind of Ahmedabad and Jaipur blasts, were not fake, the police said.

Somebody had obtained the original, blank marksheets and filled them with fake roll numbers and marks. Amin, who died in an encounter with the police at Jamia Nagar in Delhi a few months ago, had submitted BSc marksheets from AU at the time of taking admission in the Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi, said the police.

8220;We will conduct an enquiry into the matter as the marksheets cannot come out without the involvement of university staff,8221; ACP Sanjeev Yadav told The Indian Express.

The AU Controller of Examination, H S Upadhyaya, however, said: 8220;The marksheets, which the officer from Delhi brought, did not match with our record.8221;
