
Pakistani officials on Wednesday said security forces have killed up to 30 militants holed up in a health centre in the Bajur region near the Afghan border. Troops used guns and artillery fire on militants, military spokesman Maj. Murad Khan said. The spokesman said the killed militants included several foreigners.
Another 11 militants were killed in South Waziristan, another tribal region on the border, during the battle for a fort overnight, the military said.
