Ashwani8217;s ton in Pelicans8217; win

NEW DELHI, May 17: A stroke-filled unbeaten 105 by Ashwani Kapoor, who struck 13 fours and four huge sixes, helped Pelicans beat Goswami Ganesh Dutt by 32 runs in a A division match of DDCA league at Shanti Sports Complex. Replying to Pelicans8217; 238 for seven, G G Dutt were dismissed for 206 with four balls remaining. Sarvesh Bhatnagar scored a defiant 73 with the help of seven boundaries.

Another division A match, between MCD and J N Golden ended in a tie at the PGDAV College grounds. Pankaj Malik 76, Parag Raj 50 and John 40 helped MCD reach 239 for six in 35 overs. In reply, J N Golden were dismissed for 239 off the final delivery of the match. Ashu Dani top-scored with 92 10215;4, 2215;6 and Mohinder Rathore contributed 49. In a A-2 division game at Khalsa College, Sonu Vaid8217;s all-round display enabled Inborn beat Kishanganj by 95 runs.

IRCON defeated Paragon by 33 runs in another A-2 division match.
