HYDERABAD, SEPT 9: For the first time, the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly received a public petition through e-mail from a remote village in Telangana region.

A group of villagers of Siddapur village under Balkonda constituency of Nizamabad district sent the petition to Speaker K Pratibha Bharati pouring out their grievances.

The petitioners urged the Speaker to issue directions to the state government to ensure remunerative prices to their crops. They apprised the Speaker about the problems faced by farmers due to unremunerative prices.
