Finance Minister P Chidambaram lost his cool with Sanjay Nirupam8217;s constant nagging today. It was during a debate that the Shiv Sena8217;s vocal MP tried to make an issue of Chidambaram leaving the House in the middle of his speech. He even offered to end his speech when the Minister was seen coming back in. Soon Nirupam was pointing to the minister8217;s conversation with a member. At this Chidambaram retorted, 8216;8216;You can not dictate to me wether I should speak to my neighbour or who I talk to.8217;8217;

The Rajya Sabha today saw some lively exchanges between External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and his predecessor Yashwant Sinha. Most of the time Singh was addressing Sinha directly. Whem members poited it out, Singh remarked, 8216;8216;We have a jugalbandi. Later, Singh told the House in a lighter vein that Sinha8217;s son-in-law was working in his office and he was a fine officer.
FM8217;S advice to left
After CPM8217;s Jibon Roy said globalisation was increasing poverty and hunger, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram had some advice for him. Quoting a member, the minister said 8216;8216;You create more Midnapores in West Bengal, where potato farming is doing well. Remember McKinsey were the consultants there. So have more foreign consultants to have Midnapores.8217;8217;
Language panel report
The report of the Sita Kant Mohapatra committee on the inclusion of languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution is under the consideration of the Government, Home Minister Shivraj Patil told the Lok Sabha today. He was responding to a calling attention motion by Prabhunath Singh of the Janata Dal U that a decision on Bhojpuri on this count be taken 8216;8216;soon.8217;8217; Singh said the language was spoken by 20 crore people.
