Amit Aswani sparkles

PUNE, Feb 18: Amit Aswani’s scintillating knock of 128 was the highlight of Dimple Chemicals’ mammoth 129 run win over ST Pune in the ongoing Poona League Cricket tournament conducted by the Maharashtra Cricket Association. Taking the crease first, Dimple Chemicals rattled up 213 for 6. Amit Aswani took the bowlers to task, sending them on a leather hunt. Swapnil Puttewar contributed a fine 38 to the challenging total.

In reply, ST Pune were bundled out much well before reaching triple figures. Santosh Gaikwad (4/26) and Amit Aswani (2/5) halted the rival score at 84, annexing a huge margin of 129 runs.
