NEW DELHI, August 8: Bishop of Islamabad and Lahore Antony T Lobo today demanded drastic amendments in Pakistan’s blasphemy law saying it was “very vague” and could be grossly misused. “Anyone can be charged anytime under the law,” he said at a meeting on `The current situation in Pakistan’ here.

Nearly 60 people have been condemned to death under the law in last 3 years, he said. The bishop claimed, the trial is never fair since courtrooms are packed with fundamentalists who pressurise judges and lawyers.
