MUMBAI, May 19: Five Air-India pilots and a flight engineer were questioned by the Preventive Wing of the Customs today in connection with smuggling of foreign currency after the arrest of an executive secretary of A-I last week.

Ajay Rohra was arrested by the Customs on May 9, and assorted foreign currency worth Rs 58 lakh was seized from his residence. He is in judicial custody and an order on his bail application is expected tomorrow. Rohra had allegedly revealed the names of some pilots who were accomplices in his smuggling racket.

The customs had summoned the pilots on Tuesday and questioning went on through the day. But department officials refused to reveal details.
