Justifying the arrest and remand of AIADMK cadres during their protest over alleged derogatory remarks made by CM Karunanidhi against Jayalalithaa,

the police said the move was 8220;unavoidable8221; as they had to enforce public order.

8220;If political parties give advance information on agitations and get permission from police, normal life will not be affected,8221; DGP D Mukerjee said.
