Additional soccer trials for u-14 girls

The Chandigarh Football Association will hold additional selection trials to select the girls' U-14 team on December 10 at 3.30 pm at Dev Samaj College ground, Sector 45.

The Chandigarh Football Association will hold additional selection trials to select the girls8217; U-14 team on December 10 at 3.30 pm at Dev Samaj College ground, Sector 45. The players will be selected for the ongoing coaching camp in preparation for Chandigarh8217;s participation in the All India Football Federation Under-14 Girls Festival of Football to be held in Chennai from December 23.

According to CFA general secretary, Rakesh Bakshi, girls born between January 1, 1995 and December 31, 1996 are eligible to take part in the selection trials. The additional selection trials have been necessitated as seven players, including international Tanvi Bhargawa, have been dropped as per the direction of the All India Football Federation.

The players, who have participated in the Sub-Junior Nationals Girls Football in Haldwani, are not eligible to participate in the All India Football Federation Under-14 Girls Festival. Bakshi said that those girls who donned the India colour in the AFC Football Festival for Under-13 in Vietnam would be directed called by the AIFF for the National camp for the AFC Festival of Football for U-14.

Meanwhile the CFA camp had began on December 1 and the team will leave for Chennai on December 21. RK Sharma and Ramesh Bhatt will accompany the team as officials.
