Actor protests with girl146;s body

Kalyani, the eight-month-old among the three children who died at Niloufer Hospital following the doctors8217; strike, was not allowed peace even after death.

She died of respiratory problems on Tuesday, with her father, Mallesh, saying that proper medical attention could have saved her. As his wife Balamma sat on the footpath holding Kalyani8217;s body, actor and Talli Telangana leader Vijayashanti took the baby8217;s body and marched into the main block along with the girl8217;s family members and relatives. Vijayashanti confronted RMO Dr Usha Rani and later staged a sit-in along with the body for about 20 minutes.

Kalyani8217;s relatives left the hospital with the body after being coaxed by the administration. The actor later demanded a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to each family.
