Accused nabbed

SAS NAGAR, Aug 12: The Mohali police today arrested one more accused in the case involving disappearance of two minor girls from the township on August 2. With this, the number of arrests made in the case have gone up to three and all the accused have been booked under Section 376 of IPC, for rape, SP B.S. Randhawa said.

The arrested youth has been identified as Sandeep alias Sunny, a resident of Sector 20. The SP said earlier, the police had arrested prime accused Harjeet Singh and his accomplice, Ravi Babbar and registered a case under Sections 363, 366, 148 and 149 of the IPC against Harjeet Singh, Avtar Singh and Ajit Pal alias Chotte, all residents of Sector 44, Sunita Rani and Ravi Babbar, both residents of SAS Nagar, and Rinko, Sonu, both residents of Sector 22.
