GEORGETOWN, NOV 25: The India A cricket team touring the Caribbean has arrived in Guyana for matches against Guyana8217;s and West Indies8217; A teams starting today.

India is hoping for better weather conditions in Guyana than during their first four-day Test8217; in Trinidad last week, which was badly affected by rain and ended in a draw.

But overnight rainfall and blustery conditions in the country yesterday could threaten today8217;s start to the three-day match against Guyana in the west coast town of Demerara, about 48 kilometres east of Georgetown.

India will play the West Indies in another four-day Test8217; in Georgetown beginning on Tuesday, followed by one-day matches against Guyana next Sunday and the West Indies on December 8.

India has not named a team for the match against Guyana today. The side will be captained by opener Gagan Khoda for the remainder of the tour since current captain Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been called up to the Indian senior side to replace Ajay Jadeja on their tour of Australia.

Meanwhile, leg-spinner Rawl Lewis will replace Jimmy Adams as captain of the West Indies A team for the second and final cricket Test8217; against India A starting on November 30.
