NEW DELHI, August 11: The east district police say they have busted a a gang of train robbers following the arrest of Sallauddin, Ikrar, Ram Kirpal and Suraj after a raid on Ghazipur village last night. The accused and their associate Yusuf were reportedly planning a strike on Central Warehouse Corporation. Yusuf managed to dodge the police. Two knives, iron rods and an iron pipe were recovered from their possession.
The police said: The gang had been targeting trains in Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. They used to throw passengers luggage out of the train for their associates to collect. The stolen items were later sold in Delhi.
