CHHINDWARA (MP), FEBRUARY 27: Twenty-Four persons were killed and 34 injured when a coal-laden truck fell into a 1,200-feet deep valley of Tultula Pahadi, about 38 kms from here tonight.
The passengers of the truck, numbering 58, were mostly mine labourers and the vehicle was on its way to Pipariya from Palasi after loading the coal, police said. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Badkuee, police said. The accident occurred when the truck driver lost balance of the vehicle near a culvert, police added.
