A Kashmiri separatist leader, who had hijacked an Indian Airlines I-A plane to Pakistan in 1971, on Monday hailed the recent peace moves by India and Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference here, Hashim Qureshi, who is campaigning for Kashmir8217;s Independence, said Pakistan was forced by its own people to walk the road to peace. 8216;8216;My main aim is that both India and Pakistan should thrive8230;We are very happy. When Pakistan was pressurised by their own people they stopped this game, and started walking on the road to peace. That is the reason they had to close the terror camps,8217;8217; said Qureshi, who heads Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Liberation Party.
