1) Chaos continues in Parliament: The BJP and Opposition continued to spar over the same two issues on the fifth day of Parliamentary proceedings — Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in the UK and the Adani-Hindenburg row. But a new and unexpected row erupted when Sansad TV coverage of Lok Sabha proceedings went mute for a little over a minute. While authorities maintained that it was a “technical glitch”, Congress suggested it was a conspiracy to “silence voices” in Parliament.
2) Meanwhile, in the latest edition of Idea Exchange, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose spoke about the long-drawn conflict between the Raj Bhavan and the Mamata-Banerjee led TMC government: “In my opinion, in place of confrontation there should be conciliation. Antipathy should be replaced by empathy and passion should be tempered with compassion. Always a middle path seems to be better for society. A Raj Bhavan should become a no-conflict zone.”
