Roshni shares a skincare hack (Source: Roshni Chopra/Instagram)Actor-influencer Roshni Chopra loves to impart her followers with captivating and useful lifestyle tips encompassing fashion, skincare, and home decor. In keeping with the same, she recently took to Instagram to share a simple do-it-yourself (DIY) method that she uses to depuff her face and alleviate her eye bags effectively.
Wondering what is it? It’s the good-ol’ cold spoon massage. “You have to try this – Cold Spoon Massage. No need for fancy face tools – this works just as well,” she captioned the video, as she demonstrated the method.
According to Roshni, all you need to do is place two washed and clean spoons in the freezer for five minutes. Once done, take these spoons out and place on the eyes or use them to massage the whole face. “Make sure you have applied a moisturiser or face oil to help the spoons glide,” she added.
She shared that the low temperature of the spoons “helps constrict blood vessels in the face and, hence, helps to depuff and reduce dark circles”.

Talking about the same, Dr Rinky Kapoor, Consultant Dermatologist, Cosmetic Dermatologist and Dermato-Surgeon, The Esthetic Clinics said that it is an excellent method for de-puffing and massaging your face. “In the long-term, doing this on a regular basis leads to a firmer and more contoured face. When using a jade roller or a Gua Sha, similar results are obtained,” she said.
How to do it?
Dr Kapoor shared the following method:
*Using a push-press approach, clean your face and apply a facial oil or serum.
*Hold an ice-cold spoon firmly against your skin and slide it upwards with gentle pressure.
*Begin in the centre of your forehead and work your way up against your jawline and cheeks.

*Then, re-dip the spoon in cold water and press the spoon’s bulbs against your eyes.
She added that it helps with skin tightening, inflammation, and irritation. “It instantly reduces the skin’s temperature, decreasing vasodilatation and boosting vasoconstriction. Dermal blood circulation is improved, and redness is reduced,” Dr Kapoor said.
