Malaika Arora and Rahul Khanna set the stage on fire as showstoppers for Siddartha Tytler at FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week 2024. While Malaika graced the runway in a stunning jacket blouse paired with a resplendent embellished lehenga, Khanna looked debonair in a sleek zipped sherwani and fitted pants.

Malaika opted for a Roman-inspired headband along with matching dangling earrings and a stack of heavy bracelets. Sultry smokey eyes, high contoured cheekbones, and pink lips completed her look.

Khanna’s coiffed hair and polished black boots added a touch of sleek glamour to his ensemble. Understated yet elegant, he exuded masculine charm as he walked the ramp.

The collection was an ode to the tyrannical Roman Emperor, Caligula, “embodying self-indulgence and extravagance beautifully infused with richness and debauchery”.

“My creativity thrives on sensuality, darkness, and a touch of the macabre,” said the designer in a statement. “My latest collection reimagines Caligula’s world with a modern twist. Featuring rich jewel tones and intricate details – ‘Caligula’s Feast’ is a celebration of luxury and royalty, brought to life with dramatic drapery and bold silhouettes,” he added.

According to the designer, “Caligula’s twisted delight in witnessing the common man’s torment”, all while draped in luxurious robes and jewels sets the tone for the collection.

Featuring jewel tones like maroon, emerald, navy, and black, with highlights of gold and gunmetal embroideries and embellishments, the collection showcased diverse silhouettes that embodied the emperor’s decadent world.
