From RRB NTPC to SSC GD Constable: Application underway for these government jobs

Here we have compiled a list of some of the government job examinations whose registration is underway and you can apply before the deadline.

The provisional answer key was on August 8 and the final answer key was released after corrections on September 11.

Every year lakhs of students in India apply for government jobs. Many candidates despite working in the corporate sector, appear for the government examinations to secure a job. As reported by The Indian Express earlier, there is a ‘rush’ in government examinations.

The government in Lok Sabha in 2022 shared numbers wherein they compiled data from 2014-15 to 2021-22. It showed that given the period, 22.05 crore applications were received by the government from students with less than 1 per cent of students’ applications received being selected. From the total, only 7.22 lakh or 0.33 per cent, were recommended for appointment in different Central government departments. These numbers are solely for the central government jobs.

RRB NTPC 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the registration for the RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam for the recruitment of Graduate and Undergraduate posts. The deadline for the registration is October 13. The official website of RRB NTPC — rrbapply.gov.in has hosted the detailed notification and application form for the students. As many as 8,113 posts will be filled against graduate posts and 3,445 against UG posts.

SSC GD Constable 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for the General Duty (GD) Constable recruitment. Interested candidates can apply for the SSC GD 2025 constable vacancies on the official website – ssc.gov.in.

The Commission aims to fill as many as 39,481 vacancies as part of the recruitment process. The last date to fill out the application form is October 14. The last date to pay the registration fee is October 15.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: The registration process for RRB Technician Recruitment 2024 has been reopened. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for the technician posts can submit their applications at the official RRB website — rrbapply.gov.in. Candidates now have time till October 16 to register for the government exam.

BPSC 70th Combined Preliminary Exam 2024: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) registration for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) on its official website — bpsc.bih.nic.in is underway. The Commission aims to fill a total of 1,957 vacancies. The last date to register for the BPSC CCE prelims examination is October 18.

Odisha Police Constable Recruitment 2024: The Odisha Police State Selection Board (OPSSB) has commenced the registration process for the Odisha Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024. Eligible candidates can complete the application form for the recruitment exam by visiting the official website — odishapolice.gov.in.

The deadline to fill out the application form is October 13. The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,360 Odisha Police Constable vacancies.

UPSC ESE (Preliminary) 2025: The Union Public Service Commission’s engineering services registration is underway. Interested candidates can visit the official website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC ESE prelims application is active till October 8 and there is hiring for 232 posts.

MP Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test 2024: The Madhya Pradesh Primary School Teacher Eligibility Test (MP TET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), also known as Vyapam. The exam is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for the position of primary school teachers (Classes I to V) in government schools across the state. The registration will conclude on October 15.

UKSSSC Personal Assistant Recruitment 2024: The UKSSSC (Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission) Personal Assistant Recruitment 2024 is a recruitment process organized by UKSSSC to fill the vacancies for the position of Personal Assistant (PA) or Stenographer in various government departments of Uttarakhand. The deadline to complete the registration is October 14.
