The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is inviting applications for its internship programme. Students pursuing a postgraduate course are eligible to register for the RBI summer placement. Also, students pursuing integrated five-year courses in management, statistics, law, commerce, economics, econometrics, banking or finance or those in three-year full-time professional bachelor’s degree in law from reputed institutions or colleges located in India are eligible to apply. Students who are currently in the penultimate year of their course can only apply for the summer placement. The candidates have been asked to make sure that they correctly mention the state in which their college or institute is located during their application. The summer placements or internships at RBI provide an opportunity to domestic and foreign students to expose themselves to an actual central banking environment and undertake projects on the issues relevant to the central bank with guidance from experts and professionals at RBI. Candidates can apply for only one Control Office and will be considered for the summer placement at the centre as per their college/ institute’s location. For example, candidates studying in college/ institution located in Maharashtra/ Goa/ Daman & Diu/ Dadara & Nagar Haveli can apply for Mumbai centre only. Interested applicants can register at rbi.org.in by December 15. The application started on October 15. The summer internship is set to start in April, 2025. Candidates need not submit or send at any address, application printouts or any certificates or copies thereof at the time of online application. Their candidature will be considered on the strength of the information declared in the application. If at any stage, it is found that any information furnished in the online application is false/ incorrect or if according to RBI, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria, his/ her candidature is liable to be cancelled.
