With this relaxation, the ruling National Conference said it has fulfilled another election promise. (Representative image)The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to relax the upper age limit for open merit candidates appearing for combined competitive exams of the Union Territory.
Earlier, the upper age limit was 30 years, which has now been relaxed to 35 years by J-K government.
With this relaxation, the ruling National Conference said it has fulfilled another election promise. “As promised in our Manifesto, the JKNC government prescribes revised upper age limit for Jammu & Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination. We wish all the candidates good luck with their preparations!” the J-K party posted on X.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by fourth proviso to clause (ii) of sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination Rules, 2018, the Government hereby prescribes the upper age limit for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE)-2024,” the official notice by J-K government stated.
As per the official notice released by the Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), the age limit has been relaxed to 35 years for open merit candidate, 37 years for reserved category candidates and in-service candidates, and 38 tears for physically challenged candidates.
