Withdrawal limit enhancement

Kamal Chopra, president of All India Federation of Masters Printers (AIFMP), said, “We are ready to get the bank accounts of our workers opened as we are having acute cash crunch due to demonetisation. But at the same time, we want that there should be no limit on withdrawing cash from our own current accounts. The limit has been advanced to Rs 50,000 per week. But it is my tax-paid money and I should be allowed to use it. It shows the government is short of cash but has made this huge announcement in a hurry.”
