Tripura Board of Secondary Education starts distributing mark sheets; review applications can be submitted by June 10

Students would need to submit their review application forms to their respective schools by June 7, while the schools would have to forward the applications to the TBSE by June 10

A week after announcing this year’s secondary and higher secondary results, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) started distributing mark sheets to schools on Friday. The TBSE also announced that review applications can be submitted latest by June 10.

In a notification issued on Friday, TBSE Secretary Dr Dulal Dey said, “…marksheets and certificates for Madhyamik, Higher Secondary and Madrasa examinations will be given at the board office on May 31 (Friday) and June 1 (Saturday) from 11 am till 5 pm. School principals or other authorised representatives may… collect mark sheets and certificates for their school concerned.”

The notification also stated that application forms for review of board examination results were now available on the TBSE website.

Students would need to submit their review application forms to their respective schools by June 7, while the schools would have to forward the applications to the TBSE by June 10.

The TBSE also stated that the calendar for the 2024-25 academic year would be published on its website on June 3.

On May 24, the TBSE announced the board results. Although the secondary pass percentage results improved to 87.54 per cent from last year’s 86.02 per cent, the higher secondary pass percentage dipped to 79.27 per cent from 83.24 per cent recorded in 2023.

The TBSE examinations got embroiled in controversy this year after the state board chief flip-flopped multiple times on the issue of allowing the Roman script for Kokborok papers. Finally, the state government had to step in and students were permitted to use both the Roman and the Bengali scripts for the Kokborok papers.
