UP: 11 labourers electrocuted in Lakhimpur

As many as 11 labourers were on Tuesday electrocuted when they came in contact with a high voltage wire in Singahi town area,about 150 kms from here,police said.

The accident occurred in Singahi police station area when the labourers were involved in construction of a multi-storey building under Kanshi Ram Avas Yojna suddenly came in contact with 11,000 voltage wire passing overhead,SDM C P Tewari said.

Senior district and police officials have rushed to the site,the SDM said.
