Suspicious items seized from Hindu right wing outfit’s ashram

Goa police recovered suspicious items from the outfit's ashram at Ramnathi in Ponda town,25 kms from Panaji.

Goa police,which is probing the role of a religious group linked with Malegaon blast accused sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur in Margao explosion,recovered suspicious items from the outfit’s ashram at Ramnathi in Ponda town,25 kms from Panaji.

“We have found certain suspicious items in the Sanathan Sanstha’s ashram which have been seized,” revealed Superintendent of Police (North) Bocso George.

“We have found items like watch and other materials which can be used in triggering explosions,” he said.

The raid was conducted following yesterday’s blast at Margao that killed two persons belonging to the right wing Hindu organisation.

The scooter,in which the explosive was kept,was also registered in the name Nishad Bakhle,an ashram inmate,the SP said,adding that they have so far interrogated 161 inmates of Sanathan Sanstha’s ashram.
