SHO suspended,SI attached in Jammu

A Station House Officer (SHO) was on Saturday suspended for remaining absent from duty.

A Station House Officer (SHO) was on Saturday suspended for remaining absent from duty while an incharge of the police post was attached to district lines allegedly for dereliction of duty,police said.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police,Jammu-Kathua Range Farooq Khan suspended SHO of Bagh-e-Bahu police camp Inspector Surinder Khadyal for remaining absent from duty on Friday,they said.

During a surprise visit to review the security arrangements on the eve of Navratras,Khan found Inspector Khadyal absent from duty and ordered his suspension.

Meanwhile,Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Basant Rath ordered the attachment of Incharge Police post Chowk Chabutra Sub-Inspector Rattan Singh to district police lines due to dereliction of duty in handling a theft case,they said.

A probe has been ordered by SSP in this regard on Saturday.
