Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday chaired a meeting of unified headquarters where the overall security situation of the state and related
issues were discussed.
The meeting reviewed the present security situation and law and order in the state. Matters relating to these issues and other topics were also discussed, an official spokesman said.
The SHRC report on unmarked graves in north Kashmir,the recent incidents of alleged human rights violations also came up for discussion,officials said.
The meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation,including the resurfacing of stone-pelting incidents in Nowhatta area,they said.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand,Minister of State for Home Nasir Aslam Wani,GOC of Army’s 15 Corps Lt Gen S A Hasnain,Chief Secretary Madhav Lal,DGP Kuldeep Khoda and other senior officers of police,CRPF and intelligence agencies attended the meeting.
The unified headquarters in Kashmir comprises the Army,BSF,CRPF and the state police.
