J-K govt to construct mini-secretariat in Tangmarg

Jammu and Kashmir government will to construct a mini-secretariat at Tangmarg in Baramulla district to accommodate all its offices which were gutted in a fire during a violent protest last year.

“A mini-secretariat would be constructed at a cost of Rs 34 crore at Tangmarg to accommodate all government offices,” J-K minister Ghulam Hassan Mir told a public gathering here yesterday.

An unruly mobs had set ablaze almost all government offices and a missionary school in the town,45 km from Srinagar,in September last year during a protest against alleged desecration of a holy book in the US.
