Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar,Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and leaders of various political parties have greeted Keralites on the eve of the Vishu festival.
In a message here today,the Governor said “I convey my most cordial greetings and good wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Vishu.” Kumar said he would pray and wish that the year ahead would be one of peace,harmony and prosperity for all.
TN Guv,CM extend new year greetings
Ahead of new year celebrations by many linguistic communities in the country tomorrow,Tamil Nadu Governor and Chief Minister have extended their greetings.
Governor K Rosaiah,in his message,said: “Let us on the dawn of New Year pledge to shed away hatred,resolve to foster good thoughts,compassion and love. May this New Year strengthen the bonds of unity and bring in peace,progress and prosperity in the state and the nation.”
“On the joyous occasion of Tamil New Year,Baisaki and Vishu,I extend my heartiest greetings and bext wishes to the people,” he said. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said “Let this Tamil New Year bring happiness,prosperity and peace to Tamils living all over the world.”
