5 killed,6 hurt in blast in fire cracker unit

Five people were on Saturday killed and six others seriously injured in a blast in a fire cracker unit in Dhani township under Bijmanganj police station area here.

Police said the massive explosion took place in Zubair fire works unit this afternoon while crackers were being made.

Four people died on the spot,while another succumbed to injuries on way to hospital,sources said.

The injured have been admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be serious.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot and further investigations were on,police added.
