RBI City Wise Bank Holiday List in January 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the bank holiday calendar for 2026. As per the RBI holiday list 2026, banks across various cities will remain closed for 10 days in January, excluding the second and fourth Saturdays. Therefore, the citizens are advised to check the holiday list in advance before planning a visit to their bank.

January 1: On January 1, 2026, bank branches in Aizawl, Chennai, Gangtok, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Kolkata, and Shillong will remain closed on the occasion of New Year’s Day/Gaan-Ngai.
January 2: On January 2, 2026, bank branches in Aizawl, Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on the occasion of New Year celebrations/Mannam Jayanthi.
January 3: On January 3, 2026, bank branches in Lucknow will remain closed on the occasion of birthday of Hazrat Ali.
