Rajasthan set to get another Vande Bharat train; check route

Vande Bharat train:Indian Railways (IR) is planning to introduce another Vande Bharat Express train for Rajasthan. This new semi-high-speed train will be maintained and operated by North Western Railway (NWR) zone. It will further transform the regional connectivity in the state and boost the economy.

Rajasthan got its first Vande Bharat Express train between Ajmer and Delhi. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 12, 2023. Ajmer-Delhi Cantt. Vande Bharat Express is also the world’s first semi high speed passenger train on high rise overhead electric (OHE) territory.
This train has improved connectivity of major tourist destinations in the state including Pushkar, Ajmer Sharif Dargah etc. Presently, 4 pairs of Vande Bharat Express trains are operational in the state. These trains run on following routes:

The railways has planned to launch a new Vande Bharat Express train on Jodhpur-Delhi route. This new train is expected to reduce the travel time by more than an hour between two distances. Speaking to Indianexpress.com, a senior railway official has confirmed the development. “There is a planning to launch a new Vande Bharat train between Jodhpur and Delhi,” the official said.
