The Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha has summoned MPs Ramesh Bidhuri of the BJP and Danish Ali of the BSP on December 7 to present oral evidence on complaints by various MPs regarding improper conduct by them during the discussion on Chandrayana-III mission in the House in September.
Bidhuri was caught on tape uttering communal slurs at Ali while speaking on the success of the mission in the House on that day, after which Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had apologised on the floor of the House.
While Ali has been called before the committee at 3 pm on the said date, Bidhuri will appear before it at 3.20 pm, The Indian Express has learnt.

Bidhuri had given oral evidence before the panel on October 10, and had requested that he be exempted from a meeting on October 11 as he had poll-related engagements.
After this, the meeting of the committee was delayed because of Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath festivities.
The day after the incident, the Opposition had raised the matter in a big way, calling for action against Bidhuri. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had accused Ali of provoking Bidhuri, and sought a comprehensive examination of all aspects of what happened on that day.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla referred the MPs’ complaints on all aspects of the issue involving Bidhuri’s use of objectionable words against Ali to the Privileges Committee in September.
