PM to attend consecration ceremony of Lord Ram idols at Ayodhya’s Ram temple in Jan 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday said he will participate in the ceremony of consecration of idols of Lord Shri Ram in the Garbhgriha of the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, next year.

In a post on X, Modi said the office bearers of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust have invited him to come to Ayodhya on the occasion of the consecration of idols in the Ram temple. “I will be present on this historic occasion,” the PM said in post.

Modi said, “Jai siya Ram! Aaj ka din bahut bhawnaon se bhara hua hai. Abhi Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust ke padadhikari mujhse mere niwas par milne aaye the. Unhone mujhe Shri Ram Mandir men praan pratishthaa ke avasar par Ayodhya an eke liye aamntrit kiya hai. Main khud ko bahut dhanya mahsoos kar raha hun. Ye mera saubhagya hai ki apne Jeevankaal men, main is aitihasik avasar ka saakshi banunga. (Jai Siya Ram! Today is a day full of emotions. Just now, the officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had come to meet me at my residence. They have invited me to come to Ayodhya on the occasion of consecration of Shri Ram temple. I feel very blessed. It is my good fortune that in my lifetime, I will witness this historic occasion.).”

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra; Nripendra Misra, the Chairman of the temple construction committee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and other office bearers of the trust were among those who met Modi.

Later, Rai said the consecration ceremony will take place on January 22, 2024.
