Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Gujarat's Rajkot during his two-day visit to the state. The prime minister will also virtually inaugurated four more AIIMS in Punjab's Bathinda, Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli, West Bengal's Kalyani and Andhra Pradesh's Mangalgiri. Here is a full list of AIIMS functioning across the country: 📌 AIIMS Delhi The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is governed by the AIIMS Act of 1956 and functions autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The institute offers a diverse array of courses, encompassing MBBS, MD/MS/MDS, DM, and B.Sc. Nursing, as well as M.Sc, M. Biotech, M.Sc. Nursing, and PhD programs. AIIMS Delhi secured the 6th position in the medical category of the NIRF Ranking, 2023. 📌 AIIMS Bhopal Established in 2012 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) AIIMS Bhopal is a hub for different courses, including MBBS, BSc (Hons), MD, MS and MSc Nursing. As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, AIIMS Bhopal stood at 38th position in the medical category. The institution also has MBBS as its flagship course. 📌 AIIMS Bhubaneswar Established in 2012, AIIMS Bhubaneswar was formerly known as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The institution is among the six institutions that were established under the PMSSY. According to the NIRF Ranking 2023, AIIMS Bhubaneswar stood at the 17th position. The institution offers various courses to students, including UG, PG and Super Specialty. Some of the major courses which are offered by the institution are MBBS, BSc (Hons) Nursing, MS, MD, M.Ch, and DM. 📌 AIIMS Raipur Located in the capital of Chhattisgarh and established in 2012, AIIMS Raipur that stands at the 39th position on the NIRF ranking 2023. The institute provides a total of 44 courses in 36 streams, including UG, PG, Super-speciality and Doctoral programmes in Medical, Paramedical and AYUSH. 📌 AIIMS Patna Established in 2012, AIIMS Patna is located in the capital of Bihar and was earlier known as Jaya Prakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences (JPNAIIMS). As per the NIRF 2023 ranking, AIIMS Patna stood at the 27th position in the medical category. The institute offers a variety of courses, including MBBS, MD, MS, DM, McH and others. 📌 AIIMS Rishikesh AIIMS Rishikesh was also established in 2012 and offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, fellowship and Doctoral courses with specialisations. As per the NIRF ranking 2023 in the medical category, AIIMS Rishikesh stood at 22nd position. Some of the medical courses offered by the institution are MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh, paramedical and others. 📌 AIIMS Nagpur All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur was one among the four AIIMS announced during the budget speech 2014-15 under PMSSY. The foundation stone for the institute was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis. AIIMS Nagpur currently offers full-time undergraduate degree program MBBS and postgraduation in selected subjects. 📌 AIIMS Bibinagar AIIMS, Bibinagar Hyderabad Metropolitan Region (HMR), Telangana, was built under Phase-VII of PMSSY and was established in 2019. The institute offers MBBS, MD/ MS, and B.Sc (Hons) in Nursing courses. 📌 AIIMS Deoghar The only All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jharkhand, AIIMS Deoghar started functioning in 2019. The institute offers UG courses including MBBS and Nursing, PG courses like MD/MS and PhD, and Superspeciality and Post Doctoral courses as well. 📌 AIIMS Gorakhpur Located in Uttar Pradesh, AIIMS Gorakhpur is an autonomous medical institution. It was established under 'Phase-IV' of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in 2014. The institute offers medical - MBBS and PhD - and para medical - BSc. Nursing (Post Basic) - courses. 📌 AIIMS Guwahati Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati to be set up at Changsari in Assam’s Kamrup district in 2017. It started its first academic session on January 12, 2021, with a batch of 50 MBBS students and 21 faculty members across four departments. The institute offers MBBS course with an intake of 125 students, with the nursing college admitting 75 students annually. 📌 AIIMS Kalyani Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Kalyani on Sunday, along with four other AIIMS branches in the country. However, the institute is yet to receive its environmental clearance from the West Bengal Pollution Control Board. AIIMS Kalyani was officially approved by Union Cabinet on October 7, 2015. The institute offers MBBS and Nursing courses. 📌 AIIMS Bathinda Its foundation stone laid by PM Modi in 2016, AIIMS Bathinda was one of the institutes virtually inaugurated by the prime minister on Sunday. The institute offers MBBS and BSc. Nursing courses, as well as a Centre of Excellence skill development project of Respiratory Therapist. The skill development project is in collaboration with PSDM (Candidate mobilization, Financial support and general coordination) and PGRKAM (Punjab Ghar Ghar Rojgar and Karobar Mission). 📌 AIIMS Raebareli All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh was approved in February 2009 under Phase-II of PMSSY. The institute was established as autonomous institution and institute of national importance through the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, passed in 2013. 📌 AIIMS Mangalgiri AIIMS Mangalagiri was established in 2018 and provides Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Post-Doctoral certificate courses.
