Nitish Kumar, who resigned as Bihar Chief Minister on Sunday, formed a government in the state once again, this time in alliance with the BJP. The swearing-in ceremony of the new Bihar government took place at 5 pm today.
This comes after the CM severed ties with the RJD bringing the Mahagathbandhan government in the state to an end.
Earlier Sunday, Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar accepted the formation of the NDA government in Bihar after Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation.
Reacting to Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) severing ties with his party, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said: “I do what I say. JD (U) will be finished in 2024. The game has just started. Whatever these people do, I believe that the people (of Bihar) are with us and will support us.” He also congratulated the BJP for “taking the JD(U) with them.”
