Lok Sabha Polls 2024 Highlights: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday claimed that the INDIA bloc will rewrite the Constitution to provide reservation on the basis of religion, and alleged they want to turn the country's majority community into second-class citizens, news agency PTI reported. Addressing a public meeting in Purvanchal region's Ghosi, he also alleged the Opposition will end the reservation given to SCs, STs, and OBCs, and give all of it to Muslims. He accused INDIA parties of making different castes fight among themselves. Attacking INDIA bloc partners Samajwadi Party and Congress, Modi said they have neglected Purvanchal over the years and turned it into a "region of mafia, poverty and helplessness". Before this, in his Mirzapur rally too, PM Modi said that the Samajwadi Party are "bent on snatching the rights of SC-ST-OBC to please their vote bank." Modi's attack came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Himachal Pradesh, where he has also targeted the Prime Minister Narendra. "Shares of Adani companies rise whenever Narendra Modi is sworn in," he had said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal hit the campaign trail in Punjab from today for a five-day period. Kejriwal attended a town hall meeting in Ferozepur, following which he will address a rally in Hoshiarpur in the afternoon and a roadshow in Bathinda in the evening. The approximate voter turnout for phase 6 was recorded 59.62 per cent at 9.30 pm, as per the Election Commission's Voter Turnout App. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout at 78.20 per cent, while Jammu and Kashmir was the lowest at 52.92 per cent. Delhi's polling percentage was recorded at 55.85 per cent, Bihar at 54.49 per cent, Jharkhand at 63.27 per cent, Uttar Pradesh at 54.03 per cent, Odisha at 60.07 per cent and Haryana 59.28 per cent, the EC data showed.
