Huge cache of explosives seized from Maoist hideouts

The seizures,which were made during raids on Friday at Tapoban and Kamrangi forests in Nayagram and Lalgarh,were the biggest since the Central forces launched operations against the rebels last year.

Two hardcore Maoists Sukdeb Soren and Jubaraj Murmu were arrested during the raids,the SP said.

Sukdeb is a Maoist deputy commander and an expert in planting IEDs. He also allegedly extorted money and stole motorcycles for use by Maoist cadre.
