Tantrik sexually exploits woman,gets 10 years

The woman came into contact with the culprit after going through a newspaper advertisement.

A local court here on Friday sentenced a self-proclaimed tantrik to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually exploiting a woman on the pretext of treating evils in her family.

Mukesh Kumar Singhal,judge of a fast track court sentenced Matin and said that such people are a “blot” on society.

The woman came into contact with the culprit after going through a newspaper advertisement that said the tantrik could remove evils. The incident took place during May 2010,said the prosecutor.

Matin also cheated her and took away ornaments worth over Rs one lakh.

The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Matin.
