Three persons,including a minor girl,were injured when a speeding BMW hit the motorcycle on which the three were riding. The incident took place near Rajghat on Sunday afternoon. The three injured,Nasiruddin (51),Rahul Negi (26) and Parul (13),were returning to their Raghubir Nagar residence in West Delhi.
Eyewitnesses told police that the speeding BMW,bearing a Chandigarh registration numberplate,hit the bike from the rear,throwing the three off. They were rushed to the LN Hospital where they are recuperating. The driver of the BMW,identified as Man Bahadur,was arrested and a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against him, said a police officer.
At the time of the accident,the owner of the BMW,Rajiv Sayal,and his wife were also inside the car. Investigations revealed that the couple had come to the Capital along with their relatives to attend a wedding at the Park Hotel in Connaught Place. They were returning to Ludhiana on Sunday afternoon when the accident happened.
