Shetty shootout case cracked

The anti-extortion cell of Crime Branch arrested a gangster working for underworld don Chhota Rajan on Saturday night for alleged involvement in the hotelier Billari Raghvendra Shetty shootout case.

The hotelier had a narrow escape in Amboli on October 4 when two men on a motorcycle fired four rounds in his direction.

Police said the arrested gangster,Nityanand Nayak,was not the shooter but was part of the shootout. He will be produced in court on Monday. Police said Nayak had been keeping an eye on Shetty,who had earlier received extortion threats from Rajan.
