Separate rooms in bus stands for mothers to feed newborns in Tamil Nadu district

Ensuring privacy for mothers breastfeeding their newborns, separate rooms will be set up in 12 bus stands in the district for them, Erode District Collector Dr S Prabhakar said .

Each of these rooms would have a separate enclosure with chairs, water facilities and toilets, which would ensure privacy to them, he said.

These centres were being set up on the instructions of the Tamil Nadu Government, he said.

They would come up in the Municipal Corporation Central Bus stand here, Bhavani, Gobichettipalayam,Punjai Puliampatty, Sathyamangalam, Kodumudi, Sivagiri, Chennimalai, Perudnurai, Nambiyur, Bhavanisagar and Anthiyur.
