Ahead of Diwali,authorities conducted a security drill in a cinema hall in west Delhi on Tuesday to check the security preparedness of various agencies in the case of any emergency.
The drill was conducted at Sonia PVR in Vikaspuri on Tuesday morning to check the efficiency of police and fire brigade in case a fire broke out.
“This is part of a security drill to check the effectiveness of the response system in case of any emergency like a fire,” an official said.
Mock drills were yesterday conducted at M-Block market in Greater Kailash-I and Cross River Mall in Karkadooma,while on Sunday a similar exercise was conducted at the V3S Mall in east Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar.
Security drills were conducted last week at Batra cinema Hall in Mukherjee Nagar and Gurunanak Market in Gandhi Nagar. On October 6,similar exercises were carried out in DDA Mall in Rajouri Garden in west Delhi and in Chun-Mun showroom in Lajpat Nagar’s Central Market.
