Recent census data has revealed that more than half the households in the country do not have anymore aged 60 and above.

Recent census data has revealed that more than half the households in the country, or 68.68% of the total 24.88 cr households, do not have anymore aged 60 and above.

 

 

States in the Northeast have the highest percentage of households without people aged 60 and above.

At 75.6% households without the elderly, Delhi is among the youngest states.

At 58.91%, Kerala has more households with the elderly than any other.
