Karnataka CM has no time for PC,he cancels visit

After agreeing to reschedule his trip to Karnataka several times at the behest of Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa,Chidambaram cancelled his visit following the CM expressing his inability to attend a meeting fixed for Saturday.

After agreeing to reschedule his trip to Karnataka several times at the behest of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa,Home Minister P Chidambaram cancelled his visit following the CM expressing his inability to attend a meeting fixed for Saturday.

Chidambaram,who was to leave Mumbai for Bangalore at 3.45 pm,received a message that the Karnataka CM would not be able to attend the meeting to review security situation and preparedness slated for tomorrow as he had to go to his constituency.

In view of this,the Home Minister cancelled the visit,it was officially stated.

Yeddyurappa had been first requested to organised a review meeting on March 4 but the CM’s office responded saying the date was not convenient.

The state government then suggested March 5 which was accepted by the Home Minister. This was again rescheduled to March 7. A similar message was again sent on Friday.
