New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): France Ambassador to India Francois Richier on Friday said France President François Hollande's second visit to India would be a great occasion to strengthen India-France relations. He added that there were several agendas such as energy restoration, space projects that would be the prime agenda of the talk. On the Rafale deal, Richier said discussions are going on and the outcome was yet not known. He added that there would also be an internal meeting with Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi. Regarding the threat received on Hollande's visit, Richier said it was being investigated and such threats are just to create disorder.
Bengaluru, Jan 21 (ANI): West Bengaluru Additional Commissioner of Police KSR Charan Reddy on Thursday said the ‘intimidating’ letter received by the French Consulate about French President Francois Hollande's visit was being investigated. He added that the address from where the letter came is non-existent. This letter has been received in the lieu of Hollande's visit as Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade. He added that the matter is being taken seriously and further investigation was on.
Varanasi, Jan 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Mahamana Express, which will run triweekly from Varanasi to New Delhi, on January 22. PM Modi will flag off this train on his ground visit to Varanasi. Northern Railway Chief Area Manager Ravi P Chaturvedi said the train has all the modern facilities, including dustbins and bio-toilets in every coach. Besides, AC coaches are equipped with LED screen for passengers’ entertainment.
